While Félix reflects on his experience of living in an unknown country, the film characterizes deportation as an act of violence that often leads to unjustified consequences.The film is an attempt to investigate perceptions of home and identity through a cinematic form that is built on memories rather than a structured linear narrative. Through this process, Felix’ reflections reveal a deep trauma produced by deportation that has forced him to aimlessly navigate a new way of life in an unknown country.Solo Uno Como Yo se basa en una serie de entrevistas con Félix Peralta Jr., un veterano del ejército estadounidense deportado que vive en Tijuana, México. Mientras Félix reflexiona sobre su experiencia de habitar un país desconocido, la película presenta la deportación como un acto de violencia que con frecuencia da lugar a consecuencias injustificadas. La película busca explorar los sentidos de hogar e identidad a través de una forma cinematográfica construida sobre la memoria, más que sobre una narrativa lineal.
